You Nearly Lose Your Mind

____YOU NEARLY LOSE YOUR MIND

No artist toured as much and for as long as Ernest Tubb, Honky-Tonk singer-songwriter and star of the Grand Ole Opry. We're talking 150-200 shows a year between the 1960s and early 80s. Respect!

Till The Well Runs Dry

___TIL THE WELL RUNS DRY

This is our second Specialty Records artist that we've recorded a song by. It's a late 50s jumper by singer songwriter Wynona Carr. Now, she was a true innovator and maverick that mixed up the blues and jazz and r&b and swirled it together into a froth with her golden Gospel singing background. She was a stone cold belter and a wickedly cool and sophisticated lyric writer. We hope you dig our take of this slammer.

Little Sadie - Lyric Video

The earliest written record of this song dates back to 1922, and back then it was titled “Bad Lee Brown. “Little Sadie” is part of the great American folk music canon, & the lyrics tell the story of a man who is caught by the authorities after shooting his wife/girlfriend. He is then sentenced by a judge. It’s long been a favorite of mine.
