Originally this one came out on Rancid's 1995 record Out Come The
Wolves. The record was recorded by Jerry Finn at Fantasy Studios in
the Bay-- the same studio that Creedence Clearwater Revival recorded
and our vocals were recorded by Brett Gurewitz at Electric Lady in
N.Y., which was Jimi Hendrix' studio.  It's always interesting to
record an old song--it brings back memories.

G.B.H. are hands down, one of the greatest punk bands. I first saw them in 1983 at the On Broadway in San Francisco. My brother Lars Frederiksen was at that same show but I didn't know him at the time. We recently toured with G.B.H.-- I always enjoy watching them play and thirty years later they still kill it. This song was originally on their Leather, Bristles, Studs & Acne EP, which came out in 1981. I always dug how this song started out bluesy, then turned into full-on hardcore.

This one here is another song we recorded by the late great Hank Williams Sr. --Tales of wanderer's are a common theme in many songs written by Hank. This tune originally from 1951 is about a drifter- doomed to break a lovers heart.

This tune was originally done by rockabilly singer-songwriter Ersel Hickey. Ersel had a hit in the 50s with Bluebirds Over The Mountain. Ersel met Phil Everly (Everly Brothers), who encouraged him to write his own material. So he did. Hickey wrote songs recorded by Richie Valens, The Beach Boys, Jackie Wilson & Lavern Baker too.  Ersel is in the Rockabilly Hall Of Fame. He's a true rock and roll pioneer. This is our take on this wild jumper!

This song was co-written with my friend Dave Berg-a talented songwriter who lives in Nashville. Dave has written four Number One country songs, and has also co-written a handful of country songs that have reached the Top Ten. We had a good time writing this one.
