Eddie Miller is a character. Before he was a co writer on this song, he was a railroad train engineer. AND, Eddie also wrote a country music opera- "The Legend Of Johnny Brown".  Crisp Texas' native son, and country pioneer Ernest Tubb , did a great version of this....

Different

The song is now titled "Different", but for a few months Ximena and I simply called it, the "whistle song", on the account that it opens with her whistling.  When I heard that she could do that, and carry a melody, I was like holy crap, we gotta get that whistling into a song as soon as possible. Ximena Sarinana is an extremely talented singer, and performer from Mexico. We co wrote this song "Different", for her 2011 album. I'm looking forward to writing more music with her someday soon.

Bridge of Gold

iTunes//Amazon//Spotify

The Bridge Of Gold is not for the old, it's for the young at heart- to get a new start.
One side is the past, the other side the future. 1930's, Great Depression..a man named Strauss engineered that Golden Gate, across a treacherous channel, where no one had succeeded before. People moved west, to follow a dream. I wrote this song with my best friend Matt Freeman. The original version came out on the 'Devils Brigade' album.
