Misconceptions of Hell
This song is from the RockNRoll Theater musical 'Dante'. It's sung by Davey Havok in the original. It's a turning point in the story where the Devil tells Dante played by Lars Frederiksen what Hell is actually like---that Hell is not the Hell Dante always pictured it to be.

No Reverence
Recorded in Adalucia, Spain. The percussion sounds you hear is the band and myself grabbing our shoes in our hands and slamming them on the floor in unison. I used my Chuck Taylor All-Stars.

Cupid Aims
This song was an idea I had about a mad doctor, a sick in the head, scientific super genius, who reanimates a previously deceased lover.

When we go out on tour, I like to bring some sort of improv recording studio, just so we can capture any ideas, that come up --on the spot.
This song was recorded on the Transplants tour bus 7 years ago.

Lodi
This one was written by John Fogerty, and recorded originally by his group, Creedence Clearwater Revival. John wrote the song about a down and out musician playing a gig in Lodi, which is a small agricultural city located in the Central Valley of California. John claimed that he thought Lodi had "the coolest sounding name", and that's what inspired him to use it in the song. John was from our neighborhood, born in Berkeley, Ca.-which is about 70 miles from Lodi, and he went to El Cerrito High School. Growing up in the East Bay, coming from a working class family, Creedence was the Holy Grail of what we consider great, and cool about music.
