Rancid just played with the Last Resort this month on our recent UK tour. Rancid has always been a fan of leader Roi Pearce and the band. We give a nod to them on the song The Ballad of Jimmy and Johnny from our Let's Go record-- "Jimmy Likes Ska, and Johnny Likes Last Resort". You need look no further than these guys, that we consider one of the greatest punk bands of all time. King Of The Jungle takes you on a journey through the inner-city jungle..This is our take on this great song.

This is one more that I wrote and recorded in Spain in 2007--that was inspired by the classic zombie movie, The Last Man On Earth, starring Vincent Price. Throughout the recording process, funny enough, was that only one of my musician friends spoke english..at first it was challenging, but you know what they say, "music is the universal language".

Drivin'

Pearl Harbor And The Explosions put this song out in 1979--I dug this band as a kid. I heard that she dated Paul Simonon from The Clash.

The reggae band, the Black Emeralds are the backing band for this track. J Bonner is the leader of The Black Emeralds, and he and I are in the Engine Room together, and we both played on Jimmy Cliff's Rebirth album. J, and his cousin Salina also played with me on my solo record, A Poet's Life. Bobby Freeman wrote this tune, but I still consider this a Ramones song. This is our third Ramones cover.

I was in Spain for 6 months, in 2007--in Andalucia. I did a lot of recording with the musicians that I met while I was there. This is another song inspired by the 1962 film The Last Man On Earth. This is one of the songs that came out of those sessions.
