I Wanna Be Sedated

Hootenanny came through town, and it was my pleasure to not only get to see live, but invite singer, guitarist Lindi Ortega to record with us in the studio the very next day. Here's the newest member of the Tim Timebomb And Friends ever-growing family, singing with me, backed up by the amazing Country Gentlemen on the Ramone's "I Wanna Be Sedated".

Chills and Fever
iTunes//Amazon//Spotify
Ronnie Love originally recorded "Chills & Fever" for Dot Records in 1960 and then re recorded and released a new version in '61 as Johnny Love And The Orchestra on Startime Records. I personally think the second version on Startime is a little more laid back and vibey and has a stronger sax solo. They're both great though. Between 1960 and 1961 Startime released only three singles. The three singles include this one, along with "Shakin' and Breakin" by Ronnie Love, and "You On My Mind" by Walter Brown & Art Clyde Combo. This is our third HARD R&B track this week...to say that we're having fun recording these songs is an understatement.
