The George IV Hotel in Nottingham England has been around for 200 years, and they say that Charles Dickens stayed there — And in the 1960s Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor also stayed at the hotel. Ryan, Matt,and I got together in room 102 in that beautiful old hotel, to do some pickin’ and singin’, and recorded the classic country song, written by Carl Butler– “If Teardrops Were Pennies”.
