Early Memphis rock and roller Ray Scott teamed up with Sun Records’ rockabilly artist songwriter Billy Lee Riley and came up with this first hit for Riley in 1957. Ray Scott recorded for Eddie bond’s stomper time record label. Look out for more songs from stomper time later on down the road. That label had some amazing releases.

Irving Berlin, never learned to read music, but he wrote incredible songs. He sung for pennies as a kid and became a singing waiter for work. My friends in the California Feetwarmers and I do our take on this classic.

Train 45
iTunes//Amazon//Spotify
It's been said that nothing makes a more lonesome sound in the world than a train whistle. For 100 years--from the early to mid 1800s into the mid 1900s, trains were the lifeblood of America, and trains were featured in popular songs.
Woody Guthrie did his own recording of this traditional folk tune in the 1940s.
The California Feetwarmers climbed aboard to back me up on our take of it.
